Literacy 6th Grade

Students at Rock Canyon are expected to read 20-30 minutes every night.

In order for our students to be exposed to a variety of literature styles, our 6th graders are challenged to read 10 books this year, 9 different genres by the end of the school year. Those who accomplish this will be invited to the celebration activity at a nearby Rec Center on May 21st. Your student may read ahead and read these books in any order. The book choices need to be approved by me prior to reading the book and the students must pass an AR test with 70% and above for the book to count toward this goal.
