Teacher Highlight – Mrs. Merritt – 6th Grade
Mrs. Merritt just moved to Orem, Utah from southern Idaho this summer to be closer to family. This is her 4th year teaching (1st year at Rock Canyon!), but was a para-educator, librarian, and a substitute in the school system for 6 years prior to becoming a teacher.
Mrs. Merritt is married and has 3 children and 2 dogs. Together as a family they love to go hiking, kayaking and play backyard games. Mrs. Merritt also loves to read, do pottery, sing and be creative through graphic design.
Mrs. Merritt is so excited to be teaching 6th grade at Rock Canyon and we are SO excited to have her!
