Coach John Hedengren from BYU Athletics came and spoke to our students about the importance of not doing drugs. He taught us all that a great way to feel our time and to fuel our bodies is to exercise! Coach Hedengren coaches the Track and Cross Country team and shared his love of running with us all. He even helped our students learn a great little warm up before we go running – the superman! – which was very fitting with us dressing up like Superheroes on Friday to show that we are saying “KAPOW” to drugs!
When we asked students what one of their favorite parts about the assembly was, multiple students said how cool it was to learn that over our lifetime, we will walk enough steps to be able to walk around JuPiTeR!
Thank you, Coach Hedengren, for coming and teaching our kids!
