On Monday, February 27th, the State Legislature (House and Senate) recognized Emalie for achieving National Board Certification. Qualifying for a National Board Certification is an intensive, comprehensive process. The certification process requires a computerized test measuring subject and pedagogical knowledge, a portfolio of student work, an explanation of how it illustrates the teacher’s capabilities, an in- classroom video and written analysis to demonstrate student interaction skills and an Effective and Reflective Practitioner component.

Congratulations to Mrs. McKee for this amazing feat! It took years of work to make it happen. Only 6 teachers from our whole school district accomplished this certification. We feel so lucky and fortunate to have Mrs. McKee part of our team here at Rock Canyon!
