Ms. Quebbeman’s Music News
Welcome to music! We sing folksongs our immigrant and native ancestors made up in response to their lives. We learn to read, write and hear music by using solfege. We play games that our ancestors made to go with the songs they sang. We learn to conduct and become fluent at beat and rhythm. We experience music by great composers. We love to play instruments and have fun.
Calendar year 2014-2015
Concert Choir Rehearsals are every Wednesday and Friday morning at 7:30 AM.
Thank you to all who attended the Concert Choir Spring Concert!! I felt that the students did a wonderful job!!
A Bell Tower field trip for Concert Choir students will be Tuesday, May 19th. We will leave Rock Canyon School at 11:30 AM and walk over to the bell tower at BYU. Students will need to bring lunches and I will provide a treat for dessert. They may also bring Frisbees and other outdoor things to throw and play with.
The actual concert will start at 12:00 PM and students will be taken up into the tower in small groups. If any parents could volunteer to help me organize and walk students just let me know. Also-please send students in tennis shoes and comfortable clothing. It is a lot of walking and when girls wear dress shoes it can give them blisters.
