I think we could all agree that when learning about division for the first time, it can be REALLY intimidating! Well, except for our amazing fourth grade students….they’re already pros with division.

In Mrs. Brown’s fourth grade class, her students learned about division with remainders using cereal. Students were making equal groups and then would interpret what the remainder meant in the context of the story problem.

The students had such a fun time learning about division with remainders using cereal and it was easy for them to see and understand what different story problems meant. We love being hands on and we love our smart fourth graders!!
